- January 2006 | Commercial Bank of Syria choose Matica ZT10 + MS20
The Commercial Bank of Syria is the only certified bank in Syria to issue Visa cards.
The personalization center has been equipped in March 2007 with one Matica ZT10 Mid Volume Personalization System in-line with the Matica MS20 Mailing System and PFE's Maximailer for Folding and Inserting as well as one stand-alone Matica ZT10 Mid Volume Personalization System. The systems were installed by Infotec Systems' team along with the team of our subsidiary in Syria Digital Systems.
The team members were all trained at Matica System in Italy and PFE in the UK and were able to install the system and go live in a record time of 48 hours. Now the CBoS is able to issue around 1,400 cards per hour including personalization and fulfillment. It is worth mentioning that the Matica ZT10s are already equipped with smart card contact stations and ready for EMV migration whenever the bank decides.
